JC BBQ + Mooncake fest celebrations!

MOONCAKE FEST!!

this year's mooncake fest was a blast! we went to brian's new house at Moonbeam for a BBQ! his house is freaking huge and nice, i also wanna live in a house lidat next time!!

and 2 boxes of mooncake from Mariott hotel! Strawberry yoghurt and Chocolate whiskey! very sweet leh. i bought durian mooncake n traditional mooncake frm there too, i think taste better!

Random updates 3!

KTV with Gwen n mag! (Shing cant join) Our second ktv since my intern days! I went back to pop by while waiting for them since I could go off work early. =)

erm, i dun think i will go Partyworld at Chinatown again even though its near our offices cos its very old! the system like very bad, and the seats are torn! and the place just seem very run down to me. haha

but their drinks and tidbits are nice! yum yum!

KTV with these ppl always involves many photowhoring and mad dancing. mag was saying nx time ktv can have rooms without seats for us, cos we dun sit very much! heh.

and on one of the rare occasions, ALL 5 of us girls from my JC clique are at raffles area!!!!!!!!!! so we met for lunch, and went shopping for....... LANTERNS & SPARKLERS! cos that weekend we are gonna have our class bbq plus mooncake festival, which was really a blast! I'll blog in the next entry!!

and hi five sis bluffed me into gg DT! their office is even more 'open' then ours which the high cabinets for the workstations, which i dun really like, becos theres like no privacy at all!! but i like their this particular staircase!! =)

KUISHINBO!

finally tried kuishinbo after a long long time! damn suaku!my bro and I decided to treat our parents!

their crab is propably the nicest of all, AND THEIR SALMON SASHIMI! haha.

and on a sidenote, my bro bought a 40inch Sony LCD plus a brand new PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which explains why I m staying home and watching tv more often, or away from comp becos i m playing ps3!

both bestie and I were on leave this day (also very long ago) and so we met up with SL (becos its her bdae!!) and vivi (becos she nv go office in the morn! haha) for lunch at this sandwich cafe at boat quay!

Their sandwiches are very nice and the palce is very CONDUCIVE for photowhoring. haha

Though i still think im not a very sandwich person cos i hate bread! so hard!

den bestie and I had our own date! we went to this very techno shop - MASQUERADE to look for our outfit for DnD's Shanghai Grand theme. (which was over already btw, HAHA!)

we tried on so many outfits! guess which one we chose ok!!

My pretty bestie and I, she look really sweet in this outfit right! anyway I really love this leh! a pity it was way tooooooooooooo big for us! =(

and then there were those typical boring cheongsams that we tried.

we tot of getting this together!!!!! thankfully we didnt in the end cos it was way too long for us, and really quite techno! hahaa! we always have the urge to do something techno, afterwhich when we think about it again, we will think we are very techno! (anyway, ignore me if u are confused about what i said) haha!

Random updates! - P*C Cup!

Because im sooooooo lazy, i haven been updating my blog for the longest time! haha.

very long time ago, in conjunction with Olympics, we had our very own P*C Cup!! The venue is at Bedok reservoir and its like this scavenger hunt kinda game with MANY MANY checkpoints all around the WHOLE reservoir! So we ran like around 4.5km!

Den at each station there are games like counting ALOT of tiny beads and see if you get the count right, piecing up HUGE puzzle while blindfolded, answering questionaire about P*C's recent events (really hard!), physical fitness test, memorising items n their positions in a box and many more!

Come to think of it it was really fun!! there was even a checkpoint organised by Forest Adventure, which we dint get to try because we though it is a good strategy not to go there but we were wrong! haha, nonetheless i tried it at my CG outing!! more about it later! photos!!

My run is very techno, we always join such things like SGX Bull Run la, Stand Chart Marathon la (coming in Dec), P*C Cup la, Netball Carnival la, P*C Day la... HAHAHAHAHA! but i love them!

I forgot to mention it was raining really heavily that day and we were very drenched! we even have to wear ponchos before the rain finally stopped halfway thru the game!

and the highlight is of cos the winning 4 teams who can go BEIJING to compete with P*C China and HK! which sadly, me and my bestie's team nv win!!

on national day we went over to mag's house for steamboat! (and for this i cant join my sqmates for a national day gathering over a karen's hse. heard the turnout was record high. urgh! sorry!)

met gwen earlier (pity shing cant join) to buy the ingredients needed for our fondue at the NTUC just opp my house.

the NTUC used to be really huge and nice, but now they renovated, i think it became worse. haha

look like lumps. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAA! cos i put longans inside. its quite nice also k, though doesnt LOOK good, but not bad la, my colleagues n friends who ate can testify.

mag's wedding

let me count, mag should be blissfully married for 3 months now, haha! but let me just blog about some picts of the awesome wedding! by far the best i have attended.

the sisters especially(we were strangers but forged this beautiful friendship overnight, love them!) the sibei-on brothers(for doing all the gate crash thrashes. haa) and of cos tastefully selected venue (CHIMJES!), plus fantastic stay in Conrad(woohoo!) made the wedding such an enjoyable one for all of us!

i dun have all the photos as yet, gwennie if u read this, pls pls burn for me this coming sat! i think my picts on hand should be enough to blog abt this awesome wedding!

had to rush over to shing's house on saturday at clementi to stayover for the night, becos mag stays at CCK, and i cant possibly get there before 6 from SK! haha. so had to carry all my barangs there.

- WEDDING DAY MORNING! -

cabbed down to mag's place and notice the rest of the sisters were already hard at work, so faster help in whatever we can!

hahahaa, the ceremony ended around 12plus i think, by then most of us were already damn shack, cancelled our supposed ktv, went back to our hotel to bathe and....

doesnt end here, the next day some of us went down to Oscar's to have their breakfast buffet at around 9+am. i think the breakfast was nice! they have the usual american breakfast, plus other things like waffles, porridge and alot of cereals! yummy!

den back to hotel, and den to suntec again for lunch!

and after that we were so full that we decided to come back to our room to have tea! haha, look at the arrangement! i think we siao already! hee.

the tea session would be better if there were better tv programmes to watch other than channel 5, 8, discovery channels, national geographic.... etc etc!

i think around 3 plus we were hungry again, and we bought pratas!! haha!

that sums up, the happening weekend i had! gained alot of happy calories, forged new friendships and brought back wonderful memories! shiok!

and after her wedding, mag also invited us to her house for a post-wedding thank you dinner! blog about it another day or later, cos its sunday afternoon and im hungry!

of books and shows..

i don't know if it is just me or there are others who will also find escape from books and shows. i like the feeling of putting myself into the characters of the stories for a temporary escape from reality, from what we are restricted to just being us, physically, situationally, geographically, emotionally, etc.

one minute u can be the fashionista in NYC(Sarah Jessica Parker in SATC), or wondering what you can do, if you can be God (Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty) and what about having talking chipmunks in your life anyone? HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!

We had a ktv for zachary and sunny's farewell, both are leaving us for the UKCA program. which makes us very proud of them!!

the ktv was very fun la! with the mini stage, the smoke, the techno disco lights. haha! connie n i sang many stupid spice girls ans other artists' songs, one of which got caught on marcus's cam. im so gonna let him blackmail me for the rest of my life.

we intend to go back there soon for a retro ktv, whereby we will only sing our era songs, think "lemon tree" and "backstreet boys"! haha

but im going there again this coming saturday with gwen, magg, shing and gang! cant wait to sing! whoopie~

finally got my ass to sim lim to buy my external hard disk, before any GTS (my co's IT dept) person can nag me abt my low, and virtually non-existing free disk space. i am too paiseh to tell them cos i store all my PSP games, and 304470348389579753975897539 pictures inside! haha!

as usual, il stop by to look longingly at the shops selling DS Lite, find out what new games there are and decided at the end of the day i should not get it, since i already got my PSP!

but but but, this is when dear sneakily suggest we go to the second floor to shop, and he chance upon this shop selling all the consoles, went in, ask for price, and say, "I'll get it!"

i love it when there are alot of ppl in office so we can all lunch tgt! and on this very special day, we decided to go for something good during lunch! and we tried another chinese restaurant! Bee Hiang, along Telok Ayer Street.

the wait was quite long due to the massive lunch crowd, and vivien and i were really full from drinking the tea. haha!

we had a $188 set lunch. and we had food like 1) Fish maw 2-4) see below 5) Kai Lan 6)cannot rmb (heh) 7) Hokkien Mee and 8) dessert!

poor jo jo dear who was sitting beside zach have to keep protecting herself from HIS massive actions, and maybe saliva! (HAHA!) but im sure she did laughed herself full sitting beside the run joker. =)

The new financial was good thus far, filled with my long job at Sime and of cos, many many L&Es(Learning & Education.) cos it is off-peak period now! yippie!

my long long job! which was really good, love our TIC, who nv fail to fight for our team members' rights, and the client! they treated us to 4 lunches! (their quarterly lunch, Tung Luk, a restaurant at hill top, beside bird's park and this zi char ala carte buffet at international rd)

woohoo! and the FM's bf, my TIC's bf, and my bf all bears the same name! we have to compare surnames to make sure they are not the same person. haha!

Our fav thing to do during lunch, is to go JP's arcade and catch toys! we had a VT who is very into catching toys, and this makes alvin interested, so both of them always go and catch toys. haha!

other than catching toys, we will buy alot of snanks, bubble tea, ice cream, books whereas SOMEONE will buy a pillow. ??!!?!?!?!

(he also bought a book on BONSAI. ???!!!?!?! haha)

we also travel all the way to IMM for happy lunches sometimes. (sometimes only hor!)

"mao shan wang" is going at $20 per kg, so one durian cost us ard $40, but its worth trying, cos the meat is really gao-gao! but i think normal durians are equally nice too!

must ask my parents to buy durians back tonight. heh

I remembered i was still laughing at the engine girls, for having to slog one more year, while i graduated in 2007. and then, in a flash, it was their turn.

seriously i cannot imagine myself having to study again, its sucha dread. don't get me wrong, i do enjoy the process of acquiring knowledge LEISURELY, and not having to endure the pains of going thru exams and projects again!

but of cos on some days, i do miss my NTU life, whereby i can come back from class, dump my stuff, take a quick bath, and sleep like a pig! (minus all that exams)
